Meet the RemotePhoto Butler: The Next Evolution of HelperBot
A New Name for a Smarter Era
“HelperBot” has been a loyal sidekick since its beginning days at RemotePhoto. That name was fitting for the early versions of our product. The crop, rotate, and classify features helped card offices around the world save time and money and avoid the headaches that come with collecting quality ID photos en masse.
Over the last year, our team has worked hard to improve HelperBot, so much so that we believe it deserves an upgraded name. What was once a helpful bot has now become something more refined, more intelligent — something worthy of a new title.
Let us reintroduce you to the RemotePhoto Butler.
So…Why a Butler?
We’ll let you in on a bit of company lore.
Long before leading RemotePhoto, our CEO Luke had a brief stint in fine dining at an award-winning establishment called The Refectory (don’t ask us how he got that gig; it’s still a mystery…although we’ve heard bribery was involved). Luke’s title at the restaurant was “Server Assistant, "...pretty much a glorified busboy. His job: Be invisible. Be forgettable. Be so smooth no one even knows you’re there. Fill waters before they’re empty, clear plates as soon as the food disappears, anticipate, anticipate, anticipate, and make sure the primary server can shine.
That philosophy stuck with us.
Butlers Are Just Better
Now, we know this isn’t a perfect parallel to a butler, but you get the idea; a butler captures the essence of what RemotePhoto’s AI has become. With a great butler, things just get done – without the employer thinking about it or expending any extra energy.
This is how we think of our AI. It’s a butler for your ID photo workflow. He knows exactly what you need and accomplishes his tasks so efficiently, so seamlessly, you’ll forget he’s even there. ID photos will just happen, and you’ll find yourself asking, “Is this magic?”
The RemotePhoto Butler doesn’t just help. He serves. And that, we believe, deserves a title far beyond “Bot.”
